Job Description
Join Southwest Airlines as a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern within our Incident Response Team and become part of a frontline defense against cyber threats. This role provides hands-on experience in identifying, analyzing, mitigating, and recovering from cybersecurity incidents.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to conduct needs analysis related to systems and processes
- Develop quality technical solutions aligned with business objectives
- Ensure solutions comply with internal standards and departmental guidelines
- Manage timelines for design, development, testing, and implementation
- Support communication between business and technology teams
- Participate in system and user acceptance testing
- Scope of responsibilities may vary depending on assigned team projects
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge of information security principles and risk mitigation strategies
- Familiarity with Proofpoint PhishAlarm (preferred)
- Knowledge of ServiceNow Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools (preferred)
- Understanding of business analysis and process improvement concepts
- Basic knowledge of project management methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of technical environments and systems
- Exposure to Agile methodologies (preferred)
- Coursework or prior experience in cybersecurity (preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Previous internship experience in analysis (within the last year preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills (capstone or case competition experience is a plus)
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive and professional attitude
